[WiFi Plug DIY (2)] Plug disassembly

A. Preface

 

1. You may hurt your hands, if you don't be careful.

2. Prepare : extension cord(plug), a strong flat-head screwdriver

3. If you buy the plug which comes assembled with screws, it will be easy to do the work.

 

B. Plug disassembly(1 switch)

Difficulty of the work depends on the type of plug.

The type of plug that I disassembled may be the hardiest type.

It was heat-sealed plug.

 

There was a gap on the side of plug. Using that, I disassembled the plug with screw driver.

Then, like the picture below, the side of plug will be dirty.

When assembled the plug again, it is still dirty.

The plug that comes assembled with screw. That's better.

 

 

Roughly, the circuit looks like the picture below.

The circuit should be remade like the picture below.

Relays replace left 4 switches.

 

 

C. Plug disassembly(multi switch)

Roughly, the circuit looks like the picture below.

 

 

That big gray circles represent sockets(outlet) on the plug, and the gray rectangles represent toggle switches of the plug.

I used this extension cord and changed over from those switches to relays.
